Hello! Have you ever been somewhere where four people were playing a card game called Bid Whist? And try as you might,  you just could not understand it? You ended up maybe playing Spades instead, but it looked like the Bid Whist players were having more fun? Well, they were! The reason is that in Spades you must play the hand that you were dealt. In Bid Whist, you can make a better hand with the six card kitty, name your own trumps, decide whether high or low cards rule, all the while you and your partner control the play of the game. 

Yes, this game is for people who are not feint of heart and like to be in control just for fun. And your opponents will have fun trying to keep you from winning your bid.  It is so gratifying for them to 'set' your bid.

Just telling you how to play is sooo boring! I have developed a set of eighteen lessons to help you learn how to play this fun game. These lessons start with the Beginner's Series, and slowly get more intense as you go along. You will understand  more and more as you master each lesson. 

My short lessons are hands on. It is like having an expert stand behind you telling you what to do. All you have to do is  get your four players together with a deck of cards. My lessons will show you what cards are in each player's hands, how to bid your hand, how to play your hand, and more importantly, why you are doing it that way.   

 After you finish my lessons, you will be confident in playing with anyone who has been playing for years, and more than likely, better. 

These lessons will also beef up their game because a lot of them are just social players. Time for some strategy!  Remember, you are being taught by a pro.

First, let's get a few rules of the game down, plus the bidding and setting order. Don't worry, you can't remember all of this at once. These rules will be repeated throughout the lessons.
